Founded a fundraiser for the New Orleans Abortion Fund raising over $4,000 with 17 participating Greek chapters at Tulane University

Assisted in microbiology research for Dr. Gustavo Palacios with the responsibility to prepare agarose gels and run gel electrophoresis including obtaining product recovery, set up and perform bacterial transformation reactions, clone and grow desired DNA vectors on previously produced kanamycin or ampicillin plates, and perform PCR reactions to then be ready for further lab sequencing. Additionally helped in organizing and taking inventory of lab materials and supplies as well as relocating and organizing lab equipment into a different space.

Oversaw active region of gym and enforced university policies to ensure safety of patrons and proper use of equipment. Assisted in regular maintenance of the facility and machinery, including cleaning and restocking of equipment. Served as an on-site resource for fitness/facility information. Earned required CPR certification with the American Red Cross.
