Applications Engineer
Current- Provide technical expertise in pump selection based on process conditions and fluid properties to best meet the application.- Specify the most suitable type and model of pump to best perform the required duty.- Assess site conditions such as Net Positive Suction Head available, hazardous areas requirements, environmental circumstances taking into account elevation, humidity, temperature and other elements that can influence fluid dynamics. - Compilation of technical proposals and design of equipment assembly including turn-key packages. - Working with tender team, clarifying specifications for bids and contracts.- Friction loss calculations based on viscosity of fluids, flow rate, pipe diameter, pipe length, specific roughness of the pipe materials, existing bends, valves and other fittings.- Identification of appropriate material composition compatible with chemical properties of pumped fluid.- Analysis of parameters such as average velocity of fluids, Reynolds number, piping vibration.- Account management of larger technical projects and clients.- Scoping componentry and resources required for job pack.- Oversee handover of projects from design phase through engineering and delivery.- Manage progression through production and commissioning channels.
