At the Templestowe Hotel, I undertook a vast verity of roles becoming the most versatile member of staff of the establishment. I regularly worked in the restaurant, bar, kitchen and at reception. The verity of roles lead me to on occasion work 70 hour weeks.

I regularly work in every department in this Hotel. Restaurant, Reception, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Bar and Maintenance. The Quayside Hotel is my Primary place of work. = Restaurant =Here I work as a Waiter, and occasionally I am the only member of staff on duty in the Restaurant. The Restaurant is an award winning, AA Rosette, A la Carte diner. Practices are closely monitored by Management as well as the Hotel owners to identify issues and act upon them immediately. The Restaurant serves Breakfast and Dinner everyday, and Lunch and large Parties often. Restaurant Staff are required to be very professional, attentive, friendly and incredibly smart looking. The Restaurant faces regular unannounced inspections by inspectors who remain undercover, therefore it is important to guarantee an excellent and consistent service constantly. There are regular Restaurant meetings with all Restaurant staff so that new procedures can be discussed in detail and any costumer complaints can be looked into. = Kitchen =In The Kitchen I work with highly experienced chefs, including the Head Chef who has been working full time as a Chef since 1976. The food prepared and served is all fresh and homemade where possible. All the Fish arrives fresh straight from Brixham Fish Market, and the Meat such as Steak, Lamb and Duck is also all fresh straight from local farmers.
