Prior to the last six years, I gained experiences in various facets of Engineering ranging from Structural, Contract Superintending and Project Management in areas from the Melbourne CBD to isolated regions of West Africa. Since working with Taylor Consulting Engineers in North East Victoria, the new job required me to further my knowledge and skills in construction. Preparing drawings using Civil 3D and Revit. TCE also own a robotic theodolite which enables me to obtain data and use it to prepare site plans and earthwork designs. Recently I attended a Residential Slab and Footings Workshop that furthered my knowledge base of AS 2870 Residential Slabs and Footings Code. As Soil Reporting is part of our core business, we are now able to obtain undisturbed clay samples in order to determine more accurate characteristic surface movement data for proposed footings or slab designs.Another part of TCE's core business is Land Capability Assessments (LCA's). As we are within close proximity to Lake Eildon's potable water catchment, onsite wastewater management is a sensitive issue in these parts particularly with the constant growth of residential development within the region.
