Sprout Design was founded in 2004 with a Creative Pioneer Award to innovate using Sustainable and Inclusive design.Guy is skilled at bringing innovative ideas to life quickly though a mixture of CAD and Rapid Prototyping. He has a wide range of manufacturing experience and has built up an 3D printing hub at Sprout Design that is now delivering final product in small batches as a routine part of Sprout’s process.Sprout Design's current focus is the rapid development and trialling of innovative ideas such as the use of contactless technologies in charitable giving. Sprout Design has developed and manufactured products in this sector for groundbreaking trials starting in 2015 with Visa and an RCA workshop, followed by Barclaycard, BT and SumUp and over 500 charities to date.Guy has won significant funding for client projects and Awards recognising his work from Nesta, Dyson Award, the Technology Strategy Board, InnovateUK, WRAP, The Audi Design Foundation, LDA, Inspired Recycling, SMART Awards, British Design Innovation and 2017 Payments Award and a Good Design Australia Award.Sprout Design has delivered new product development through the Manufacturing Advisory Service and has provided technical consultancy to FMCG and retailers through WRAP.His projects for Sprout have appeared prominently in the Design Press and won Awards for projects with inspiring narratives. His work was on show in the '175 years of the Royal College of Art' exhibition of iconic designs by alumni. In June 2012 Guy won the RCA Helen Hamlyn Alumni Award for his contribution to the field of Inclusive and Sustainable Design.His skills are in demand abroad, and with he has previously been invited lectured and run workshops at and Design Challenges at UNAB in Santiago and Vina del Mar, Chile, British Coucil in Latvia, and has lead a 24 hour design challenge teams in the UK, Hong Kong and Oslo. He has been designer-in-residence at the Oribe Design Centre in Gifu, Japan.He has been a visiting tutor at the Royal College of Art for Industrial Design Engineering and more recently the Design Products postgraduate course.
