This involved creating Iur links between this and the existing RNCs and supporting other tests, including the MAD Router checks. Once this was done, I then rehomed over 600 WBTS between the 3 RNCs.After this was complete, I started an IUB Augmentation program. This involved expanding the T1 resources to the WBTS sites. This involved creating Iur links between this and the existing RNCs and supporting other tests, including the MAD Router checks. Once this was done, I then rehomed over 600 WBTS between the 3 RNCs.After this was complete, I started an IUB Augmentation program. This involved expanding the T1 resources to the WBTS sites. The work involved adding resources in the Alcatel RSP and then adding cross connects in the Ericsson DACs. The work then expanded into supporting the roll-out of SVCC and HSDPA across the entire 3G network, along with the addition of Ethernet T1s. Once this project was completed, Miami introduced a 4th RNC into the network. Again I was involved in the integration of the RNC into the network and then performing a WBTS rehome program, moving WBTS onto the new RNC. I also supported the roll out of RU20 software across the RNCs.As well as the project work, I was also tasked with the creation of new WBTS on the RNCs, troubleshooting the network and liaising with Nokia Tier 2 when needed and general support with HW/SW issues. This required working closely with Nokia and T Mobile engineers to ensure the smooth implementation of the network.Once the network was launched, I worked closely with the Optimisation team to make alterations to the network, such as adjacencies and antenna tilts. I also provided support for the local field engineers, providing both support from the switch as well as going into the field and assisting with hardware replacements and adjustments on several occasions. This was alongside the continuous monitoring of the network and the disaster recovery effort after Hurricane Ike.Whilst working in the T Mobile switch, I was responsible for providing training to the local switch engineers on the RNC and UMTS network.
