Duties:• Neutrog Fertilizers. - Ensuring operating cost as a percentage of sales, hired vehicle target adherence and OTIF percentage is in accordance to the Contractual Service Level Agreement.• Ensuring the agreed upon 97% SL Agreement is maintained.• Conducting all business analyses reports, case studies and proposals.• Managing the customer liaison on site to deal with Neutrog and maintain all communications, daily.• Running a complete month end ensuring the client is billed according to the monthly tonnage distributed (Fixed and Variable Costing Module).• Joy Global Mining. - Optimal planning accuracy ensuring vehicle availability for dispatch when orders are given for dispatch of mining parts.• Ensuring the agreed upon 98% SL Agreement is maintained.• Direct 2 Distribution Supervisors, 1 Operations Controller, Admin Clerk and 24 Code 10 drivers.• Responsible for exports distribution to Mozambique, Zimbabwe and Botswana.• Management of all distribution persons offering mentoring and training where necessary.• Managing vehicle maintenance scheduling and month end reports for invoicing (Fixed and Variable Costing Module).• Responsible for the complete business analyses conducting operations and business solutions reports for submittal to the Logistics Director.Major Projects:• Introduction of a wireless PDA system. I suggested and implemented a wireless PDA device which eliminated unnecessary paperwork (POD’s etc.).• I facilitated the introduction of a daily shuttle route (Wadeville to Steeledale) generating additional revenue of R 100, 000 per month.• I designed the Fleet Mix based on a green supply methodology ensuring efficient utilization of deck space and ensuring adequate capacity is available.• Redesign of the current POD control system ensuring all POD’s are returned, scanned and archived enabling a daily reconciliation.

• Management of a unit rate distribution contract with an R 31, 622. 356 million gross turnover per annum. • Responsible for the complete distribution of products throughout Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Free State, North West Limpopo and Bloemfontein, whilst administering a R5.6 million operating budget. • Directing the Operations Manager, three Operations Controllers, 117 union distribution persons, and fourteen office support staff. Assisting in planning the section's future needs according to the forecasts and strategic plans of the company.• Responsible for a mix of core fleet vehicles, nine subcontractors, 450 SKU line items, the returns warehouse, and load checking in the picking warehouse. This involves the management of dispatch, offloading, returns, and debriefing for an average of 95 orders per day.Major Projects:• Being the project champion and reviewing the continuous improvement contractual KPI’s on a quarterly basis. This involves 14 continuous improvement initiatives geared to eliminate “waste” in the organisation. The integrated logistics management is aimed at cost efficiency and identifying opportunities for process and employee development.• Distribution Contract Auditing. Contract auditing encompasses a detailed review of a distribution department to identify inefficiencies and implement systems to ensure the required measures are in place to reduce cost and improve distribution efficiencies.• Strengthening methodologies within the organization by mapping goals, creating measurements and analysing them as part of the daily work process. As part of the Integrated Logistics Planning team, I am responsible for the facilitation of new projects ensuring deadlines are met within the prescribed time frames.
