While I do enjoy playing guitar and photography, I feel most comfortable using technology to uncover solutions. My passion for creating wasn’t something that I suddenly obtained. Rather, it was a gradual development of my curiosity about technology—starting with the LEGO Mindstorms robotics kit that I got on my eleventh birthday with my savings. The kit introduced me to block programming, allowing me to create all sorts of remote-controlled cars and walking robots. As I dived deeper into other peoples’ creations, I found myself looking for C and Python tutorials on YouTube. As a recent computer science graduate from the University of California - Irvine, I am looking for entry-level job opportunities that will test the skills I have developed throughout my academics and extracurriculars. Besides the main object-oriented programming courses that taught me Python and C++, I took many courses over the past 4 years that touch a wide variety of topics including:• Data structures and algorithms• Computer organization and architecture• Software engineering management• System Design• Artificial Intelligence• Computer networks• Operating systems• Data management and retrieval• Computer visionOutside of university, I have been pursuing my own interests whether it be contributing to open-source keyboard software/firmware or creating affordable Wi-Fi-connected touch lamps to close the gap between long-distance relationships. Even before university, when I was just primarily using my red envelope money from my birthday and Lunar New Year for personal projects, I tried to make the most out of my resources, making things like cardboard video game controllers and small two-key keypads. Where most would see only a pile of cheap junk, I see the opportunity to create. This combination of the hard skills I have cultivated and my deep-rooted curiosity in creating and tinkering has brought me success in terms of academia. From LEGO to my college degree, I have learned a lot along the way and I look forward to continue learning throughout my career. With all that said, please feel free to message me through LinkedIn or email me at bha3@uci.edu for potential job openings or to just start a chat!Skills: Python, C, C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, MySQL, MongoDB
