As a site instructor with CampfireColumbia I took on the mission of helping At Risk youth not only raise grades, and work towards getting back on track to graduate, but also taught goal management and good study habits. In the effort to teach them the skills they need to be successful throughout high school and in to the real world, I prepared students of diverse populations to be college ready and productive members of society.Worked closely with low income families to bridge the gap between teachers and parents. Maintained positive relationships with students, parents, and teachers in order to best serve the At Risk youth of Lane Middle School.Facilitated Push In's with students in need of extra attention in Math, English, and Social Studies.Collaborated and Fostered relationships within the community in order to create a diverse and education string of field trips, and service learning projects.Performed student background reviews to develop tailored intervention based on student needs.Modified the Thrive curriculum for special needs and diverse learners based upon various techniques.Coordinated and facilitated after school tutoring hours with other instructors and teachers to help students who needed extra attention.Fostered meaningful relationships among students through goal management, field trips, teamwork, and service learning.Routinely met with students' parents regarding in class behavior and academic performance.Designed lesson plans focused on age appropriate and culturally competent material.

I set up machines to make parts out of raw metal. Then those parts get made in to the worlds best bicycle components.

Acted as head teacher of an 8th Grader American History class while fulfilling my teaching program through Western State College of Colorado.Worked closely with families of diverse populations and high needs students to ensure equity in education. Instructed and designed curriculum and lesson plans that ranged Pre-European Contact to the Civil War according to state standards and benchmarks.
