- Built a significant portion of the current existing PHP backend (re-wrote the original API), providing API hooks and functionality into a majority of core Life360 features.- Architected and deployed a significant portion of the codebase which serves over 1 billion API requests per day.- Integrated a 3rd-party emergency call center, which included building a new Python (Tornado-based) service.- Optimized client-side reliance on large/inefficient MySQL tables by leveraging our Memcache/Redis caching layer. - Contributed significantly to our on-boarding flow, which includes a/b tests, campaigns, and optimizations, growing Life360 from 10 to 150 million users (50+ million families).- Revamped our metrics API to support batching events, which reduced client requests by over 50 percent.- Reengineered the login/sign-up flow to support global E.164 phone numbers, resulting in significant user growth. - Overhauled all user-facing emails by creating a framework for managing templates, translations, and copy changes, thus enforcing consistency with branding guidelines.- Created and maintained the companies first functional testing framework (Java, Google’s Rest-Assured library).

- Designed and developed a social marketing platform (PHP, MySQL) that allows customers to create gatherings, connect with servers/bartenders, and get rewarded for it.- Created a CRM for business owners to distribute custom offers to employees and loyalty rewards to customers. - Developed all mobile web services and built the iPhone application (Objective-C).- Integrated various 3rd party APIs (Facebook, Yelp, Mixpanel, Postmark) to support the platform.

- Built and designed a social networking platform (CakePHP, MySQL) that allows users to aggregate their collection of cars/parts, and interact through news feeds, community threads, comments, profiles, friend lists, and messages. - Created a media-rich user interface (JQuery, HTML/CSS) that allows users to organize their content and easily search for relevant data throughout the web platform.

- Created a system that allows users to create collections of videos they wish to aggregate (PHP, MYSQL, JS).- Wrote a series of crawlers that scanned Hulu, Amazon, and AOLVideo to parse out all data pertaining to television shows/movies and imported them into our product (PHP).
