I am a committed, results driven and high performing procurement professional with over 20 years in Government Procurement, Contract Management, Policy and Procedure Development and Stakeholder and Relationship Management.My working experience in the procurement industry started at 19 years old after completing a Business Administration traineeship with QBuild after completing my Grade 12 certificate (OP11). From there I secured a permanent Contract Administrator role with the former Shared Service Agency, delivering contract administration services to approx. 9 government agencies. I quickly secured a series of temporary positions at higher duties before landing an A/Senior Procurement Officer role managing tactical procurement for the same 9 agencies under the shared service agreement.A machinery of government change transferred my position to Natural Resources and Water where I stayed for many years and through many more machinery of government changes, one of which brought me full circle back into a shared services type arrangement where I was the Team Leader for a centralized procurement function delivering the holistic procurement framework and function for approx. 8 government agencies. In parallel to this, I was the nominated category lead for the whole of government corporate wardrobe initiative. Over this time, I was responsible for leading and overseeing the tactical and strategic procurement in general goods and services, professional services, consultancies, capital works, ICT and procured for agencies such as National Parks and Wildlife, Natural Resources and Mines, Energy and Water Supply, Environment, Heritage Protection, Communities, Child Safety, Sports and Recreation, Small Business, Science, Innovation and the Arts.Moving on from centralised procurement to build my experience in Category Management, I secured a temporary role as a Category Specialist for Whole of Government Professional Services with Queensland Government Procurement where I developed the Category Plan and kicked off the subsequent sourcing strategy.I then made the big change into the Health Sector when I secured the perm full time role as Category Specialist before securing the perm Category Manager role in 2022. I went on to lead a DC optimisation project enabling substantial financial savings before stepping away from the health sector and being appointed to the perm role of Procurement Governance Manager within Redland City Council.
