Hi there! My name is Hailey, and I'm a senior at MSU pursuing a bachelor's degree in Astrophysics with an additional major in French language. One of my passions in life is being curious, and this is what draws me to my major; my goal is to work for a space/high-innovation company whose mission is to make interstellar travel and a sustainable lifestyle accessible to everyone so we can take better care of our planet, and further our horizons as a race.I have branching interests in software development and controls systems engineering, and am actively developing skills in these areas through personal projects, industry experience, course work and extracurriculars. I'm also an electronics lead on the MSU Rocketry team, and after stepping down from being secretary for two semesters, am actively involved in the MSU Rock Climbing Club.My technical skills and experience include:- Leadership & teaching- Project management- Scientific research and analysis- Basic controls/software systems engineering- Programming in Python, JavaScript and C++, HTML and CSS- Basic full stack web application development using Flask, React, Next.js and PyQt- API development & MQTTOutside of class, I have a passion for connecting with others and love being in nature! I'm an active runner and rock climber, and have my sights set on a marathon in summer 2025.
