Current• Demonstrate a dedication to animal health and well-being by collaborating closely with veterinary teams and other zoo staff to provide the highest level of care, safety, and comfort to ambassador animals.• Create, implement, and conduct educational “keeper talks” to deliver engaging presentations with information on conservation efforts to inspire the community to take wildlife-protecting actions.• Monitor and maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards while ensuring the implementation of protocols focused on protecting animals and the public.• Plan and prepare food for different animals based on their dietary needs and observe them for changes that could indicate illnesses, injuries, or other concerns.• Develop and carry out enrichment activities for zoo animals while keeping the enclosures clean and free of dangers.• Assist the zoo Veterinarians with care and procedures and maintain detailed records of meals, behavioral changes, and other noteworthy occurrences.• Attend talks, lectures, and seminars on animal conservation and zookeeping and conduct independent research to improve animal care.
