As the Head of Adult Services, I am responsible for managing the Adult Services department budget and translating GPPL strategies into objectives for the department. My position provides leadership to Adult Services staff members, ensuring that collections, programming, and services meet the community’s needs. I lead special projects designed to improve GPPL's collections and services, and take part in shifts on the information desk. I also fill in as Acting Director when necessary.

As a sole-charge campus librarian with the College of the North Atlantic, I was responsible for assisting students with their research and reference needs, as well as conducting information literacy sessions, and promoting the library's services and resources. I was also responsible for creating monthly statistical reports, maintaining a healthy library budget, updating the library's collection, cataloguing new items, and participating on several library services committees.

East London Public Library

In my role as Senior Page with London Public Library, I was primarily responsible for shelving material in an efficient and prompt manner, and occasionally providing reader's advisory and reference services to patron. I frequently applied organizational skills to duties such as shelf-reading and book displays and helped patrons find requested materials and operate equipment such as the photocopier, computers, and printing station.

Interlibrary Loan Department

As a student library assistant with the Interlibrary Loan Department of Western Libraries, I was responsible for the shipment of books and other materials to academic institutions in Canada and other countries. I utilized library software such as Sierra and the online catalogue to place holds and keep records up to date, and tracked shipments of previous materials to ensure secure and appropriate delivery.
