As a student at Appalachian State University, I am passionate about learning and exploring the diverse aspects of life sciences. I am currently pursuing a master's degree in cell/cellular and molecular biology, with a focus on developing a combinational therapy using vesicular stomatitis virus and melittin to treat triple-negative breast cancer. I have also completed a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry and a minor in biology, acquiring a strong foundation in the principles and applications of these fields.In addition to my academic pursuits, I have gained valuable experience in teaching, researching, and serving in various settings. I am a general biology lab instructor at Appalachian State University, where I facilitate the learning and development of undergraduate students through lectures, demonstrations, and assessments. I am also a chemistry/biology tutor at Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute, where I provide academic support and guidance to students from diverse backgrounds and levels. Furthermore, I am a certified pharmacy technician at CVS Pharmacy, where I perform various tasks related to medication dispensing, inventory management, and customer service. Through these roles, I have developed and demonstrated my skills in communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership.
