Prof. Dr. Hakan AKIN graduated from the University of Marmara School of Dentistry and following graduation, he completed his post-graduate program in Prosthodontics and received his PhD degree from the University of Cumhuriyet School of Dentistry. He took associate professor title in 2012. He received professor title and served as a founder Dean at Sakarya University Faculty of Dentistry in 2018. He resigned from Sakarya University in October 2022. He is one of the youngest professors in Türkiye. Esthetic Dentistry applications, implants acting as a natural tooth in patients suffering tooth absence, zirconia porcelains, laser applications in dentistry, at all enter into the special area of interests of Dr. Akin. Dr. Akin is a delegate member of the Turkish Prosthodontic and Implantology Association. Over 60 articles of him were published in many scientific journals which are about dental implants, zirconia, denture base materials, dental magnets, and lasers in dentistry. Furthermore, he was founder Editor-in-Chief of the Cumhuriyet Dental Journal. He is an editorial board member of Journal of Prosthodontics and he is a reviewer of Clinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, Photomedicine and Laser Surgery, Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics and Journal of Adhesive Dentistry. Dr. Akin is an international lecturer for Neoss Implant. He gives the courses about implant prostheses and digital smile design with Dentsem Academy and Optimum Dent Academy. He gave many lectures in congress and symposium. He is founder and president of the All in One Dentistry Congress.
