I continued to work with the research team under the guidance of the study investigators to abstract data from EPIC to the REDCap database for a study of renal function after open surgery for gynecologic cancers. I participated in team meetings as well as one on one meetings with investigators.

I completed training in Human Subjects Protection (HSP) and International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Good Clinical Practice (GCP). HSP training included study management, informed consent and vulnerable populations, regulations, and history and ethics. I also completed training in the use of the electronic medical record system (EPIC). Once I completed this mandatory training I worked with the research team under the guidance of the study investigators to abstract data from EPIC to the REDCap database for a study of renal function after open surgery for gynecologic cancers. I participated in team meetings as well as one on one meetings with investigators.I also completed optional training which consisted of a 6-week course on the use of REDCap for data management in clinical research, a 6-week course in the design and interpretation of clinical trials, and a 7-week course in understanding medical research.

As a hostess at Napa Flats I greeted guests, seated them and gave them menus. I restocked service items, managed party and event setup and clean up, and managed to go orders. I helped maintain a clean environment in the restaurant. Occasionally I closed the restaurant.
