I am a graduate student at the University of North Texas pursuing a master’s in Environmental Science. I graduated with a BS in Ecology for Environmental Science May 2022. I am interested in wetland and prairie ecology and restoration. I also have an interest in herpetology, ornithology, and eDNA. I can be contacted at haleyeldaniels@gmail.com.Through the past few years, I have gained experience in bird ID, bird banding, eDNA collection, DNA extraction, botanical surveys, invasive plant removal, prairie restoration, habitat assessment, leaf pack construction and deployment, benthic macroinvertebrate sorting and ID, grant writing, fund raising, and event organization. My thesis research involves using fecal eDNA metabarcoding to explore Painted Bunting diets.
