On my shifts, I come in early and set up my own bar. Then I wait for the doors to open for customers to start coming in and for us to start a steady flow of selling drinks with great customer service. After the customers leave, I stay late and help pack everything up and clean. I also have been doing inventory for my bar since my first concert. I love working events like this! It’s always a great time meeting customers and trying my hardest for them to enjoy the experience, so they always want to come back. This is a family owned/ran business. I only work part-time. It being a family business gives me the flexibility to create my own schedule and work other desired jobs.

I have worked Glencoe the past 5 years and have had an amazing experience each year making sure my customers were fulfilled and happy while also maintaining high-stress, high-volume drink making. I go back every year to make sure my customers are taken care of with the best customer service I can provide. I love to have fun with my customers. The goal there is to always draw a crowd even if you must get on the bar and yell or dance. This is the United States biggest bike rally, and it happens every August. I have worked this event every year since 2019. It's a 10-day long rally but I only go for the first 7 busy days now with my seniority.

I take food and drink orders at my bar which also has several separate tables I take care of. I also make drinks for the whole entire restaurant while maintaining my own customers at my bar/tables. It is very high volume, fast paced drink making and food serving. I would also help out once a week with the liquor/beer inventory and ordering. I love working at the Oatman Hotel hence why I had been there so long. We get travelers from all over the world so not only do I bartend, but I get to meet/know so many interesting people. I love talking and getting to know my customers. Sadly, I quit my job there due to the new management not being as caring and attentive about the business or me as my old management who recently had retired was.

I took over as head bartender as soon as I got to Pancho’s due to many employees’ quitting on them at once. I mostly served tequila there, so there were a lot of blended margaritas and margaritas on the rocks. I also served food and opened and closed the restaurant. (During Covid the Oatman Hotel was closed so I moved to Las Vegas to try to find work. But as soon as the Oatman Hotel opened back up, they offered me my job back and I happily said yes and moved home.)

Switching between the two jobs while greeting customers, providing excellent customer service, and promoting sales was mostly what I did. I was also one of the mannequin stylists, which was my favorite thing to do here. My job here as a retail sales associate was much more serious than when I worked at Ross. I took this job very seriously and I loved working here. Sadly, I had to move due to a family emergency.

At first, I was bussing tables, setting up tables, getting drinks for tables, cleaning, doing dishes, polishing cups and silverware for the servers. I got promoted to server within a few months. Then my duties were greeting tables, serving tables, cashing out tables by using the cash register, tipping out my busser, answering phones, and checking voicemails.

(Which is what inspired me to get my degree in Medical Billing & Coding. After I got my degree, I finally came into my own feet bartending. So, now I make more money bartending than I ever would working for a hospital as a Medical Biller and Coder. Which is why I have now switched my college degree up.)
