Profile bio

About Haley Shaw

I passionately believe in the fundamental role the arts have in a thriving and productive society. I am an ardent supporter of arts integration in education, innovative exhibition initiatives that lead to greater arts advocacy, and public policies that contribute financially to the arts. I have an MA in Visual Arts Administration from New York University and a BFA in Imaging Arts from Rochester Institute of Technology, which has contributed to a particular love for the photographic arts. I have over twenty years of professional experience in museums, galleries, and nonprofit arts organizations, including the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Creative Time Inc., David Zwirner Gallery, and Lehmann Maupin Gallery. I have expert knowledge in artist management, nonprofit development, fine art sales, exhibition planning and management, art advising and appraising, gallery and museum administration, contemporary art, the art market, photography, public art production, and intellectual property rights. After many years of working in the art world in New York City, I relocated with my family to Lincoln, NE during the COVID pandemic. While there, I served on the boards of Public Art Lincoln, the Lincoln Arts Council, and my daughter’s Montessori school. I made connections in Lincoln that paved the way to working in an advisory capacity on art placement in the downtown area. In summer of 2023 the opportunity arose for us to relocate back to NYC. In my current role, I bring an extensive background in exhibition development, managing the careers of artists, and connecting collectors with works they love. I continuously seek out opportunities to present inspiring and thought-provoking works of art to the public while also cultivating lifelong stewardship for the arts.

Listed skills include Contemporary Art, Art, Museums, Galleries, and 19 others.
