I'm a bilingual (Spanish) employment attorney who represents and advises companies. And I'm an executive focused on improving diversity in the legal profession and helping diverse attorneys to thrive in their careers. As a lawyer, I am best-known for my litigation work. Recently, I first-chaired a federal jury trial on "reverse" race discrimination and won a defense verdict for my client. I work well with opposing counsel, which makes life better, and helps get the best results for my clients. In addition to litigation and agency representation, I provide day-to-day legal advice to clients on terminations, non-compete and non-solicitation issues, EEO issues, and wage and hour matters. I also provide training to employers on how to comply with employment laws, and I conduct investigations. I traveled to Puerto Rico and to Mexico to train a client's managers (in Spanish) on professionalism in the workplace. And I traveled to China, India, and Sweden to train a client's managers on how to conduct effective ethics and compliance investigations. In addition to representing and advising employers, the Employment Law Solution also negotiates severance offers for high-level employees.
