I am a Marine Science graduate from the University of South Carolina, and I have over 30 years of experience in environmental management. Currently, I manage the Conservation Program for the South Carolina Army National Guard, overseeing natural resources, cultural resources, environmental review, GIS, outreach, and pest management. I am also the president of Whitewater101, a 501c3 organization dedicated to promoting safe participation in whitewater kayaking.In addition to my current role, I previously worked for the SC Wildlife Department Non-Game and Heritage Trust program from 1989 to 1992, and I served as the Training Site Environmental Manager for the SC Guard from 1992 to 2001. In 1999, I worked for the National Guard Bureau overseeing a Regional Support Center for GIS at Utah State University.Throughout my career, I have chaired and served on several policy committees for the National Guard, including the GIS Committee, the Conservation Committee, the ITAM Committee, and the National Guard Environmental Advisory Committee.
