Leading the ViFX team of data protection specialists, I had principal responsibility for developing and delivering data protection managed services based on the Commvault solution set. I have a wealth of comprehensive expertise in data protection design and management, alongside a broad IT administration and design background. My professional and flexible approach allows me to operate at all levels, whether with technical contacts or executive level clients.My responsibilities included day-to-day improvements on clients’ Commvault environments, running client virtual teams in managed operations, providing support and training to clients’ staff, service design and improvement, performance optimisation, and management of reporting processes.I also became the first person in New Zealand to achieve the Commvault Certified Master accreditation

• Formed part of a dedicated team focused on project to operational handover. Utilised as a technical expert involved in project implementations, as well as ensuring operational requirements were delivered by project teams before sign off was obtained.

• Senior Engineer in the Central ICT Operations team, providing remote support for multiple clients in the company portfolio. Responsible for responding to second and third level support call escalations, with aim to provide resolution within set SLAs.• As a Senior Engineer, recognised as a Subject Matter Expert specialising in Windows Server OS, Active Directory and CommVault Backup. Frequently provided assistance and mentoring to other members of the wider ICT operations team when needed.

• Formed part of the field delivery team, based on-site at a key client; a large SOE serving 340,000 customers with multiple sites, employing more than 1000 people with 1200 desktops and 200 servers. • Primarily responsible for maintaining infrastructure of Windows Server 2003 based servers in a team of three administrators. Specialised in support of Active Directory, Exchange 2003, Citrix Metaframe Presentation Server 4 Platform and monitoring using Microsoft Operations Manager 2005. • Provided second and third level support for escalations of incidents and service requests from the client helpdesk, working within the ITIL Framework.

• Solely responsible for management of systems and network infrastructure for SIFAM Fibre Optics Ltd. User base of 80 staff, with 170 systems at two sites in the UK and the Czech Republic. • Took lead in a variety of projects over two years to overhaul entire infrastructure, at a high level moving from Windows NT4 servers/Windows 95 clients to Windows 2000 backend/Windows XP clients. Designed and implemented domain migration from a single NT4 domain to a multi-domain Active Directory tree incorporating remote sites. • Introduced virtualisation techniques to consolidate out of date systems, thus increasing network and system resilience. • Involved in ongoing development of business processes and functions related to IT, including disaster recovery planning, review and testing.
