Led the technical strategy for the BI and AI team in Google Cloud. Products include Looker, Looker Studio.Work included all AI assisted data experiences, advancements in governed and embedded BI, and integrated product experiences between Looker and Looker Studio. This work included being an internal and public technical representative of the overall BI team.

Led the architecture strategy for BI at Salesforce and the Data Cloud platform. This included setting multi-year architectural plans, and working deeply with key teams/architects/PM & Eng leaders to understand and align their technical and product strategies accordingly. As a member of the ELT, my role also included bootstrapping programs for engineers to establish and follow best practices, building domain-specific architecture communities, and establishing measured mentorship and sponsorship programs to help build talent and diversity across a large team of engineers across the globe.

Owned the long-range architectural strategy for Tableau, and accountable for its alignment and implementation across the company. This work was supported by a diverse group of engineers, architects, product owners, and leaders.Also led Tableau’s Architecture Steering Committee, a group of architects from across the organization chartered with providing feedback and direction to teams and projects, setting global engineering standards, patterns, and technical priorities.

Accountable for the definition of the long-term technical priorities and strategy for Tableau’s Analytics group, which covered visualizations and interactivity, data modeling, and augmented analytics (ML, AI, NLP, NLG). Founding member of Tableau’s Architecture Steering Committee, and lead of the Analytics Group Architecture Team.

Implemented foundational C++ microservice frameworks and libraries, and helped to decompose Tableau’s legacy architecture.
