Master's thesis: Development and design of an Co-Driver Seat for the driver‘s cab of a Bombardier highspeed train The subject of this thesis was the development of an Co-Driver seat for the driver's cab of a high-speed train. Despite numerous restrictions, a well thought-out concept was to be developed which increases the ergonomic working conditions of the user, minimizes the space required and at the same time has a high aesthetic standard. The work was done in close cooperation with the "Design Centre Hennigsdorf" of Bombardier Transportation GmbH.

- Planning and implementation of the study project «APG 2019» with subsequent presentation infront of the management- Creation of designable 3D-CAD models for the production of a prototypeA design study for a drop-weight device was developed during the collaboration within the framework of the Master's degree in Engineering Design at Magdeburg University of Applied Sciences. Drop-weight devices are used to test soil conditions. This device is intended to test the load-bearing capacity of newly constructed asphalt and to open a newly constructed road section to traffic as quickly as possible. After a successful collaboration, it was agreed to jointly realize the design study. This included the planning, execution and realization of the design study. Designable 3D CAD models were generated in close cooperation with the design department of Zorn Instruments to produce a prototype. The result was presented to Zorn Instruments' customers at BAUMA in Munich in April 2019.

Thesis: Development of an imaging measurement method (PIV) for the investigation of flow structuresin an erosion test rig with rotating test specimenThe flow around the rotor blades of wind turbines generates a force that is converted into rotational energy and later into usable electrical energy. As an aerodynamic component, the rotor blade is strongly dependent on the flow around it and thus on its surface condition. If there is damage to the surface, the flow around it can be disturbed and the efficiency of the rotor blades decreases. Rotor blades are constantly interacting with the environment. They are stressed by rain, wind and additional particles. Because of this, one must pay special attention to the process of damage formation. In order to test this very process, Key Wind Energy GmbH has developed a mobile erosion test stand in cooperation with Seilpartner GmbH and the TU Berlin. This offers the possibility of testing erosion on two rotor blade profiles simultaneously. Erosion due to water or sand particles can be tested as well as in combination. The subject of this bachelor thesis is to map the flow mechanisms within the test chamber and to analyze possible flow structures.
