Supporting and improving domains at WordPress.com and integrating with different partner APIs

We started a new company with focus on open source technologies. The team created and managed on a lot of websites using WordPress, Drupal and even Typo3. We also worked on several out of the box projects using multiple languages and frameworks. We worked on web spider using Python and Scrapy, on image and data processing tool and on REST API service using PHP and Symfony.During that time I've learned a lot about software architecture, programming patterns, software testing and code complexity.

In Eonomedia I was responsible for the internal software development team and the system operations team. We were focused on optimization of the current infrastructure, redesigning the websites and building new ones. We were also responsible for the internal CRM systems encompassing some of the processes in the company like Online Ad serving, Offline Ad management and Subscription management.We worked with PHP, PostgreSQL, memcached, Nginx, Sphinx search and different replication tools to build a scalable and robust infrastructure for running the company websites.

I worked on multiple web based projects for the news and media sector and different CRM/ERP systems for different large and small industrial companies.The first two years I worked with ASP and MSSQL but then continued with PHP and different databases like Sybase, Interbase, Firebird and finally PostgreSQL. My experience with PostgreSQL spans several years and is focused on website and database optimization and scalability.
