April 2024, I moved to the Gas Phase value center to backup and improve the Warehouse Planner position while the employee was on maternity leave. Realigning over 2 billion lbs of misaligned forecast and writing Global work process for Demand Managers. I was then part of the design, setup, and implementation of the Global ASP (Aggregated Supply Planning) platform of OMP. This planning platform is being implemented with our Global BSCP's to streamline the supply/demand balances and Financial Estimates.

May 2023, I assumed an interim position as the High-Pressure Co-Polymer Business Supply Chain Planning (BSCP) Manager while our leader was on paternity leave. This role is responsible for the entire end to end Global Supply Chain for the business. From the raw materials required for production. Through the scheduling and execution of the production for hundreds of materials based on multiple regions demand signals. Core responsibility was to continue to lead and strategize, ensuring the Global assets are balanced between the supply and demand we are manufacturing and globally supporting. While in this position, Q3 2023 Demand was significantly dropping so inventory was getting out of control. I quickly identified aged and excess inventory to lead the collaboration across Supply Chain and Commercial to sell over 5 million lbs of material while gaining a decent return given the capital inventory pressure and time constraint.

I moved into the High-Pressure Co-Polymer Value center within P&SP as the Demand Manager. Having responsibility over the demand piece of the supply and demand balance for this Specialty plastics business with a focus primarily on North America but have Global responsibility as the lead Demand Manager. I had accountability to develop and facilitate projects to drive improvements to demand accuracy, such as, reducing Global inflated forecasts by 44 million lbs in 2022 and improving NAA accuracy by 10% in 2022. Coordinating with our Global partners, BSCP’s, Production Planners and Product Directors on the balance of supply and demand; maximizing sales – export and domestic. This role was liable for leading daily collaboration calls throughout our Supply Chain department, as well as hosting Global S&OP’s, as our business is on product allocation due to Global supply constraints.

Moving into Dow’s largest business, Packaging and Specialty Plastics (P&SP), I became the Raw material planner for Packaging Supplies. I had responsibility over all the North American Polyethylene manufacturing and out plant packaging supplies for the 8 value centers within P&SP’s. Packaging supplies included FFS bags, pallets, boxes, FIBC (super sacs), sea bulk liners, lids, caps, tubing etc. I was responsible for supplying over 450 packaging SKU's across 25 different plants and warehouses. I worked as the liaison between Dow Chemical and our external suppliers, while collaborating with the various planners across P&SP. On average packaging 30 million pounds a month for both North America and Export consumption.

Upon the previous Execution Manager opting to pursue another company, I was identified to fill the interim Rail Maintenance Execution Manager. I was responsible to execute the maintenance plan. Overseeing the 11 mini shops throughout North American and Canada, as well as, work in collaboration with our Class 1 maintenance facilities to fulfill the scheduled maintenance on our rail cars as efficiently and effectively as possible. As the North American Rail Maintenance Planner, I specialized in load leveling, and managing all the maintenance for the Rail Logistics department. Dow owned and operated a fleet of over 21,000 rail cars. This was made up of about 13,000 hopper cars and 8,000 tank cars. I developed a tool to capture when the internal linings within the hopper cars will need to be relined. I was responsible for ensuring Dow hits our hopper lining annual budget. I also created a tool that forecasts when the regulatory maintenance will be due for tank cars. Utilizing this plan, I then load level by sub-fleet the maintenance we need to pull ahead to meet capacity levels for both the business shipments, as well as, shop capacities, both mini shop and Class 1 facilities, through 2030. I met maintenance throughput targets and had capacity responsibility over the 11 mini shops throughout the United States to meet regulatory requirements

As the Rail Improvement Specialist I lead multiple projects in support of the Rail Logistics Maintenance team. I kept Improvement responsibilities while overlapping into the maintenance role. While I was the improvement specialist I was responsible for creating various database system's to compile massive amounts of data into a easy to use dashboards. These database system's streched beyond the support of just the Maintenance team, and are used by all of Dow Rail Logistics. Dow established a new office in Saudi and in June 2016 established the first Intern position within the Kingdom. Selected to assist the In-Kingdom Supply Chain team to help build the associated work processes, system capabilities and operations for the $22 Billion Joint Venture between Dow Chemical and Saudi Aramco, named Sadara. Worked on various projects including implementing first-in and first-out (FIFO) process dashboard, creating a Loadability Matrix for Sadara products, reviewing and enhancing the current metrics dashboard, and completing the project plan for the Saudi Dow Supply Chain. Through this I gained cultural experience, communication skills, and an appreciation for the importance of teamwork, knowledge about various modes of transportation, knowledge about freight forwarders, and the enhanced knowledge on supply chain. Delivered Results:Work Processes: Created a macro process to track and analyze the FIFO Inventory.Project Planning: Updated project plan process to have continued implementationMetrics: Enhanced the current metrics dashboard to be compiled from multiple metrics into one document.Leadership: Developed a Loadability matrix for produced product packaging which is used by all parties in the joint venture.Initiative: Audited the daily export shipments report by the freight forwarder for accuracy, discrepancy, and issues which then led to corrective actions.
