Hamish is a Private Enterprise Partner in KPMG Hamilton. He joined KPMG after farming in Southland and now has over 25 years experience in the business advisory sector. Hamish deals with Private enterprise clients from a number of sectors but now is specialising mainly in the farming and supermarkets sectors.His farming clients include family owned enterprises as well as the larger corporate type entities. Hamish has seen a greater demand for regular management reporting in the sector as farming operations get larger and more complex and the importance of good governance is recognised. Hamish has been involved in the supermarket sector for 10 yrs and has helped clients through all parts of the ownership life cycle including first store operators, changing stores, operating small and large stores and exiting the industry. He has also been involved in numerous advisory projects including business restructuring, refinancing, relationship property disputes and estate planning.
