Successful Serial Entrepreneur & Investor | Government Services Consultant | Army Guard Officer | Deep background in Military and Intelligence Arenas | With a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology (Genetics) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, I started my career in the biotech arena. While working at Hazleton Biotechnologies, I was accepted for work at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) where I spent 12 years working as an Operations Officer. The majority of my career was spent working in the Middle East and South Asia where focusing on combating terrorism and stopping the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. I also served as a Military Intelligence Officer in the Virginia Army National Guard. My combined time in the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC), as both a government employee and commercial entrepreneur is 28 years. Following my career with the CIA, I spent the next 16 years as a commercial entrepreneur building companies directly supporting the IC and Department of Defense. During this time I built a solid track record of success in the areas of management, team building, integration of technology into both commercial and government business models, along with building networks for results. In particular, I focused on the development and integration of biometrics, analytic and communication technologies into an array of defense mission efforts as well as application strategies involved in using them.Utilizing the aforementioned skills, I was a principal founder and a key executive and board member for SpecTal, followed by the sole founder and CEO of Ronin Associates International – Government Services (RAI-GS), both of which were highly successful, mission focused companies that sold for a combined $260 million.I am actively involved in the investment and start-up business communities in both Florida and Virginia.
