Design and Development of Cockpit Consoles for a Defence Aircraft.Responsible for the complete life cycle development of the products starting from paper design, to prototype, EPLD design, PCB design, Product development, diagnostics, board bring up, testing, device driver development, system software development and verification and validation. Was also responsible for environmental and MIL std compliance testing, EMI/EMC verification testing. Designed and developed Dual redundant embedded microcontroller LCD display systems for the modern aircraft.Worked out the Engineering and fabrication details of the system from the prototype stage to the PCB stage. Designed, developed and tested the software for the above systems.A Motorola 68000 based unix environment was used for developing 'C' language code with the real time OS PSOS. Developed utility programs on the host 'UNIX' system to port the application software with the real time kernel onto the 68000 controlled target system. The software includes full-fledged provision for downloading and promming the application on to the target.System software - Writing DEVICE DRIVERS for the Real time embedded system comprising serial communication controllers, RTC, LCD static and graphic controllers (OKI, HITACHI) and MIL-1553B Avionics bus interface on PSOS real time OS.
