Assistant Manager (Substation Design)
Current• Preparation of Outline Scope, Primary Plant Layout Plans, Site Location Plans, Foundation Plans and Single Line Diagrams as per guidelines of IEC, IEEE, ANSI, utility standards and specifications for new substations or replacement works at existing substations. • Preparation / Upgradation of Technical Specifications for Substation Equipment and material in-line with applicable IEC, IEEE, ANSI and utility requirements and specifications. • Preparation and Evaluation of Tenders for EPC and loose procurement tenders, in-line with the requirements of different agencies. • Review & Approval of Substation Single Line Diagrams and Substation, Switchyard & Foundation Layouts of EPC substations as per contract specifications, submitted by Contractors / Consultants. • Review & Approval of Technical Documentation including Drawings, Technical Details and Data Sheets of EHV & HV Substation Equipment in EPC as well as loose procurement contracts as per contract specifications, submitted by Contractors / Consultants • Witnessing of Type & Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) of substation equipment / material.• Witnessing of Site Acceptance Tests (SATs) / commissioning tests of substation equipment / material.• Preparation of Engineer’s Estimate / Budgetary Requirements for substation projects. • Design related Project Management Activities including project scheduling, and work / resource planning etc.• Preparation of Project Progress Reports, Technical Reports and allied Documentations. • Conducting design reviews, identifying areas for improvement, guiding, mentoring and providing training to interns and new inductees ensuring design quality and consistency.• Providing on-site technical support and coordination with project related teams such as project managers, contractors, consultants and other stakeholders to ensure safe and successful delivery and installation of Substation Primary Equipment.
