I lead the immigration team at DLA Piper UK LLP. I help companies and individuals with their immigration matters. I am experienced in advising large multinational companies, SMEs, growth companies (including start-up and scale-up operations), charities, and social ventures. My work involves assisting with day-to-day ad-hoc advice with respect to sponsorship, right to work, and immigration applications. I also provide strategic immigration advice and regularly conduct seminars and webinars for clients. For example, in the years leading up to the end of the Brexit transition period, my focus was on presenting Brexit-preparedness seminars aimed at both hiring managers and EU employees.Following the end of the Brexit transition period, I have also been assisting clients with Global Mobility Issues on outbound travel/immigration to Europe. This has included delivering Right to Work compliance and Business Travel projects in Europe. I have also provided businesses with strategic solutions in respect of their European staff to protect and prepare for Brexit and the associated uncertainties.I regularly advise highly skilled (Global Talent visas) and high net-worth individuals on migrating to the UK. I provide a tailor-made service to clients to obtain entry clearance to the UK and then support them through ongoing advice to ensure a route to settlement. I have advised clients on the accelerated route to settlement and key challenges such as significant absences from the UK.My work also involves providing advice on developing global immigration policies and advising outbound immigration advice which is aided through our local council network. Recent work has included providing right to work advice on EMEA countries, and outbound transfers and business visits to the EU.
