• Monitoring plant startup costs (Cold, Warm & Hot), guiding the operational manpower in conducting the optimum start-up and minimizing auxiliary consumption in standby conditions.• Measuring, monitoring the online and offline operational parameters of all plant equipment and processes to ensure safe, reliable and optimum operation.• Performing critical analysis and research on deviations in operational parameters and determining impact on performance and generation cost, followed by relevant suggestions for improvements• Supporting Operation and Maintenance in technical matters related to OEM, reliability, maintenance planning and outage execution.• Handling commercial aspects of plant operations such as capacity and energy billing and its invoicing, communication faxes with NPCC, SDXP including energy meter readings etc.• Timely preparation of technical generation and maintenance reports to relevant stake holders as per agreements, including direct/indirect method efficiency reports and commercial efficiency reports (PPA / O&M / CSA & WUA)• Preparation of performance monitoring procedures for all areas, processes and equipment.• Ensuring stack emissions and effluents monitoring for any environmental non-compliances.• Ensuring monitoring of maintenance regimes to identify any reliability issues.• Role specific responsibilities in plant, process, and equipment emergencies.
