In September of 2023, I ran for and won a seat in the Georgetown University Student Association Senate. Since then, I have won reelection one time, in April of 2024, and continue to serve in the Senate currently. As a Senator, my responsibilities are very broad. Through authoring legislation, working with student organizations, and meeting with university administration, I aim to improve student life, facilitate communication between students and administrators, and help each student feel fulfilled in their time at Georgetown University. Below are listed a handful of roles that I have held in concurrence with my time in the GUSA Senate.

Membership on the Finance and Appropriations Committee was the first position I held in the GUSA Senate. As a member of the Committee, I met with student organizations and advisory board throughout the school year in an advisory and oversight role. Every March, I would participate in the GUSA Budget Summit, where the Committee would allocate $1.27 million dollars among the different student boards and organizations. This extensive 3-week process ensured that each group was adequately and responsibly funded, and that the money each student paid in tuition towards student activities was properly spent.

The Senate Student Dining Committee was formed in March of 2023 as a response to many individual pieces of Senate legislation calling for improvements to campus dining. A handful policy initiatives I have promoted as a member of the Dining Committee include offering fruit in the main dining hall and increasing access to gluten-free options across campus.

The Senate Outreach Chair was a position created in an expansion of the Senate's codified goals on campus. As the Outreach Chair, my primary responsibility is to ensure that GUSA initiatives and policies are well known across campus. To that end, I have instituted the practice of tabling to promote new GUSA initiatives.

Working in the Employee Relations Department of the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission, I helped prepare paperwork for various department needs. I directly assisted the Director of Employee Relations in some projects, including updating internal Motor Vehicle Commission Policies and Procedures. Furthermore, I gained familiarity with the structure and operations of the Motor Vehicle Commission, and New Jersey state agencies as a whole.

As an intern for Congressman Thomas Kean, Jr., I served New Jersey's 7th Congressional District. I communicated with constituents over the phone and through email, researched legislation and current events for legislative staffers, assisted in policy briefs and memo writing, and gave guided tours of the Capitol. Furthermore, I developed my interests in transportation and infrastructure policy alongside the Congressman's legislative team.

In my last year of high school, I worked dinner-time shifts at a popular restaurant in downtown Princeton. As part of my responsibilities, I waited and bussed tables, seated customers, and delivered food. I also closed the restaurant at the end of each shift, restocking supplies and cleaning up the dining area.
