beacon, the brand agency formed out of the merger of the Tokyo offices of Leo Burnett, D’Arcy and Saatchi & Saatchi, and an infusion of Dentsu clients and capital - ranked 20th in terms of size, and 4th in terms of creativity (1st foreign agency to win the Tokyo Art Directors Club Film Grand Prix). Successfully elevated the rather different planning cultures of Leo Burnett, D’Arcy, Saatchi’s and Dentsu into a distinct beacon way of brand planning that became the (reputed) benchmark for the Tokyo industry.Strategic planning lead on all significant new-business efforts and on a few key-accounts: Philip Morris, Procter & Gamble, Jardines Wines & Spirits and Coleman. Co-strategic lead in the successful joint pitch with Dentsu for the consolidation of the McDonald’s Japan account with beacon and Dentsu.
