The Advanced Building System (ABS) block system in short:The ABS building system has been developed in order to build houses and other buildings / structures in an energy and labor saving way. The fundamental principles that must be met to achieve such a result are: Low investment costs of the machines and moulds needed to produce the building blocks. Low production costs set against high productivity. A fast, simple and cheap building method, keeping interest costs, wages and material costs at a minimum level. No need of heavy-duty material at the building site, meaning that small-scale building is economically possible. Low energy costs in respect of heating or cooling the houses and other buildings when finished.The ABS building block is the basis of this building system. The system itself is a dry stacking building system, using one type of building block as stacking element. The blocks are produced according to the licence-agreement & production method.The supporting construction of this building system consists of concrete pillars, which are formed by pouring concrete into the holes through the dry stacked blocks. The pillars and the storey floors are poured simultaneously and therefore form one solid part.The unique aspect of this building system is based on the principle that the building blocks are “non-supporting”, that is to say the building blocks do not exert any vertical pressure on the blocks below, all vertical pressure is borne by the concrete pillars.
