I'm a "multi-career" professional, with strong credentials as a performing musician; small-business owner; manager of emergency communications centers and disaster recovery programs; and military leader, planner, and trainer. The common threads of these divergent careers? 1) I enjoy working with, teaching, and leading diverse groups of people; 2) I enjoy challenges, and excel at overcoming them; 3) I am quick to analyze situations, develop rational courses of action, choose the best option, and see it through; and 4) I have weathered enough real emergencies and crises over the years that I remain calm and productive (and in good humor) under circumstances that would rattle most other folks.
