Oracle Applications Sales and Support

Responsible for worldwide planning and management of corporate infrastructure; LAN / WAN / Data Center / Telephony / Windows Servers ( NT, 2000, XP ) / Desktop & Laptop computers / SUN / UNIX / Linux environments for business and engineering systems. Prepare yearly budgets and ongoing cost analysis for proposed projects. Management of Systems and Engineering support functions, Help Desk Manager, License and Contract Management.

Manage corporate Data Center, involving the administration of Windows NT servers and systems supporting desktop tools, SUN and UNIX environments for business and engineering systems. Responsibilities include the planning of new systems, coordinating hardware, software, and environmental issues, and installation of hardware, software, networking, and telephony in all environments. In addition to Managing the Systems and Engineering support functions, also managed the corporate Help Desk supporting all Zilog sites worldwide. Help Desk support covers approximately 150 people locally, and an additional 300 – 400 at various remote sites and field sales offices. License and contract management is covered in this capacity.

Coordinate systems upgrades, enhancements and implementation of modules associated with the Oracle Financials G/L, A/P, H/R, Inventory and Fixed Assets systems. Projects include the upgrade from Oracle Release 9.4 to 10.5,10.5, to 10.7, installation of the Inventory and Fixed Assets modules, interfaces from external systems, minor SQL Report writing and database maintenance. Frequent involvement with the users of all modules to analyze needs and determine resolution possibilities and act as primary contact between MIS and Oracle Support.

Coordinate systems upgrades and enhancements, which affect the Oracle Financials G/L. This includes interfaces from ASK MANMAN / OMAR / AP, and PeopleSoft Asset Management for all worldwide sites. Platforms include HP MPE, HP UNIX, and client server environments using Banyan Vines.
