I was a Division Head responsible for real estate appraisal and defense, and had primary responsibility for the 2007 county-wide revaluation. During this time I also guided the county's implementation of a new computerized mass appraisal system and wrote the 2007 Schedule of Values, an appraisal manual mandated by state statute. To increase staff appraiser effectiveness, I authored numerous ad hoc query applications in Microsoft Access and Excel.

I wrote the RFP and assisted design, and was Project Manager for testing of and conversion to a new mass appraisal system.During this time, I developed expertise in Microsoft Access and Excel and have familiarity with Microsoft Word and Photoshop. Using these tools, I developed multiple PC-based applications to increase staff efficiency.--------------In my forty plus year appraisal career, I have also been a private (fee-based) real estate appraiser. The only non-appraisal part of my career was when I was a Project Manager for a vendor of "computer assisted mass appraisal system" (software marketed to Assessors' offices across the U.S. and Canada). This entailed:- planning and helping the client's IT staff in converting data to the new system;- learning a new client's operational protocol(s);- suggesting modifications to that protocol; and - training the new client to set up and use the system to serve current and future needs.
