Lead Data Scientist and Architect on a groundbreaking new predictive platform for flight delays, which will help airlines and airports reduce the cost of disruptions and limit impact on travellers. Globally, delays and disruptions cost airlines around 4% of their revenue, so solving this is a pretty big deal! With my team I built a predictive application and its supporting large-scale data ingestion and storage platform from the ground up. This was a very challenging and interesting project, where we turned a wide range of aviation data and state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms into viable product for airlines and airports.

Overall technical responsibility for OpenJaw's t-Retail Platform, a multi-channel retailing platform for airlines, OTAs, loyalty programmes and hotel distributors. Responsible for technical evolution, including platform, scalability, redundancy, tools, cloud migration and security.Responsible for product management, architecture, design and implementation of OpenJaw's XML middleware platform and business rules engine.Introduction of machine learning models for personalised product recommender system.

Software architect for Vordel's XML security gateway. Using technologies such as XML Signature, XML Encryption, XKMS, SAML, WSDL, XML Schema and XSLT translations.

Brought Sun Microsystem's XSLT compiler (XSLTC) from prototype to a fully working product, through design, implementation and testing. Managed process of donating XSLTC to the Apache Software Foundation's Xalan project.

Provided time-critical bug-fixes and patches for device drivers for Solaris for the x86 platform. Drivers included 3Com network cards, SCSI host adapters and devices (disk and tape), ATA/EDI host adapters and devices (disk, CD and tape) and Soundblaster.

Development of Telenor's switch-to-billing mediation systems, integrating with Alcatel S12 and Ericsson AXE switches.
