As an Associate Programme Director at AKQA, I was responsible for leading delivery across a programme of work in excess of £2m, ensuring delivery quality, consistency of process, hitting revenue and margin targets as well as resource pipelining. With 10 years of experience working across a range of digital projects and methodologies, I took my practical project management skills to shape and set up a programme of work for Tassimo’s ecommerce team (part of the Mondelez group). I embedded the new client into the agency, developing ways of working across multiple workstreams including business as usual, social, website localisation and feature improvements (prioritised by sales impact). I crafted a retainer model, using on and offshore resources, to create the most value for our client. The first year of our engagement saw rollout of 10 local markets onto the Mondelez global Sitecore platform, a responsive site, increased sales as a result of email efficiencies, brand and tactical campaigns and website improvements, data driven decision making and as a result our senior stakeholder was elevated to Global sales. In the second year of our engagement AKQA were awarded the technical development work for Tassimo on their Sitecore platform, which I was instrumental in winning along with developing a connected brewer strategy and BETA test. I was also responsible for the line management of 4 project managers at varying levels and working with the Head of Delivery to implement improvements to the AKQA delivery processes.

Key achievements- Nissan Sitecore platform inception, development and go live in 4months, starting with a pilot rollout to Thailand in 2 languages. Ongoing feature development, platform stabilisation, market requirements gathering, roll out planning and business as usual. Engagement with 3 other Project Managers developing the configurator, brand, ownership and careers portals to provide guidance and direction for integration points into the platform as well as gathering internal requirements for prioritisation on the backlog. Use of lean methodology, Kanban and continuous delivery for use across the full Nissan programme of work to enable clear communication with clients based in Japan and Thailand. - Heineken Star Player dual screen, real-time game experience across mobile, .com and Facebook. Gamers where asked to predict in real time the outcome of key moments in a UEFA game as it unfolded on live TV. Heineken fun facts were asked in quiet times of the game in order to score points for the chance to win prizes but ultimately football bragging rights. We used low and high-fidelity prototyping to test usability, latency and most importantly how enjoyable the game was to play. The project delivered on time and excelled all expectations, being the most awarded project in the agency, including winning the agencies first Golden Cannes Lion. I was also responsible for running the game across 2 seasons and rollout across 10 European markets. To deliver the scale 1 Project Manager reported to me. I ran senior stakeholder engagement through weekly steering committee meetings.

Key achievements- Heineken.com global platform built on Sitecore and rolled out to 4 pilot markets. Requirements gathering, feature prioritisation, content loading, user rights mapping and configuration, training, template development and handover to maintenance 3rd party. The project was run using elements of agile, including development sprints, a product owner responsible for writing user stories and prioritising the backlog, to scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning and demos. After stabilisation the site was rolled out to a further 20 markets, including those in Asia.- Mashreq (Dubai bank) development of a loyalty programme which delivered a tablet based system for the sales team to visualize clients’ portfolios and demonstrate benefits of banking more with Mashreq as well as a web based rewards program that allowed customers to view, select and browse uniquely curated rewards based on their spend with the bank. Multi-location team from New York, London and Dubai developing the interaction design, algorithms and implementation to work both on and offline.
