-Complete front desk tasks including answering phone calls, app requests, and emails, checking in daycare, boarding, and grooming customers, taking payments, maintaining customer files, and updating customers on their dog’s behavior and health.-Assist in setting up and completing events put on by our location including fundraising days for the Dogtopia Foundation and marketing events.-Take part in taking care of the dogs including being a Canine Coach in the rooms as needed, keeping track of boarder’s belongings, tending to medical emergencies, and preparing and passing out meals and medications.

-Clinic duties included setting patients up with modalities as requested by the therapist or patient, gathering equipment needed for the designated exercises, copying any home exercises for the patients to take home, and maintaining a clean and tidy clinic.-Receptionist duties included greeting patients as they came in, taking and processing payments, scheduling appointments, booking intake appointments, keeping virtual and paper charts up to date, and answering phone calls, emails, voicemails, and faxes.

-Improved my understanding and knowledge of strength coaching and cuing techniques by shadowing trainers and coaching clients.-Built upon my interpersonal communication and networking skills with other trainers and various clients.-Observed movement assessments to expand my understanding of how assessments impact programming.

Enhanced my knowledge and skills regarding the following:-The intake process and how a client’s lifestyle and career severely affect their nutrition and activity/fitness level.-Incorporating talking about a client’s nutrition habits during their scheduled session to help them reach their fitness goals.-Explaining to a client the purpose of an exercise, what it is working, and why the exercise was selected.

-Learned the basics of program design and how an individual’s background affects their program needs.-Integrated coaching and cuing techniques I learned into my own coaching style.-Assisted in the intake process by administering and recording results of fitness tests.-Demonstrated effective coaching and cuing techniques when training new clients in the warm ups, correctives, and basic exercises.-Cultivated and maintained relationships with each client to create an open, trusting connection.

-Cultivated an atmosphere of open communication with coworkers, swimmers, parents, and team officials.-Stimulated the swimmers to advance their stroke technique and improve their times.-Facilitated swim meets and practices by organizing meet sheets, setting up the pool area and equipment, and maintaining an awareness of all my swimmers.

-Interacted with patrons by greeting them when they signed in and addressing any questions or problems they had.-Promoted the club to help recruit new patrons.-Maintained a presentable front desk by keeping it clean and organized.
