In my role, I am responsible for:- Developing and executing the advocacy strategy for the nation’s largest Protestant denomination (13 million members, 45,000+ churches in the US), including coalition building, meeting with elected officials and staff, analyzing legislation, reviewing proposed rulemaking, and interpreting court decisions- Cultivating and managing external relationships on behalf of the organization with government officials, partner organizations, think tanks, educational institutions, and denominational leaders- Authoring detailed, policy-focused materials, as well as explainer-style resources to assist Southern Baptists in understanding complex political topics- Advising the organization’s communications team on all policy-related external communication- Presenting the organization’s policy work to external stakeholders including the Board of Trustees, state policy executives, DC-based partners, and denominational audiences- Leading the organization's Washington office, recruiting and managing a team of 4 employees and interns

I participated in strategic decision-making and created resources for engaging evangelicals in immigration education and advocacy across four brands. I also assisted in managing faith-based advocacy coalitions, edited a weekly blog, and managed team metric reporting.

I performed legislative research, wrote persuasive and informative position pieces, assisted in administrative duties, and participated in Capitol Hill meetings.

Tutored students in economics and business law.

I assisted a senior enrollment counselor in recruiting students throughout the admissions process. I assisted in implementing Preview Days and worked to provide excellent service to prospective families.

I worked for the office of Undergraduate Admissions to give tours and answer questions for prospective students and their families. I also assisted with event coordinating and execution for prospective students.

I created and executed a wage and benefit survey with a team of students for manufacturers in Jackson. We conducted focus groups, created a survey, analyzed the data, prepared a report, and presented our findings to manufacturers.

I worked to create, plan, and coordinate events on the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Campus, working with many departments and corporate partners. I led an intern innovation project with interns from across the United States that presented strategic ideas to senior leadership.
