I am a passionate scientist with a background in biomedical science, immunology, and oncology, committed to advancing patient-driven research. I completed my BSc in Biomedical Science with a focus on pharmacology at the National University of Ireland, Galway, followed by a PhD in Immunology and Oncology, where I specialized in identifying novel targets for cancer immunotherapies. During my PhD, I developed and optimized innovative immunotherapy protocols, gaining significant expertise in both in vivo and in vitro research.Currently, I work as a Scientist at Cancer Research Horizons, based at The Francis Crick Institute in London. My research focuses on developing 3D models to explore cancer biology, target validation, and immunological responses, with a particular emphasis on T-cell recruitment and immune-oncology. I have a strong background in confocal microscopy, live-cell imaging, and molecular biology techniques, as well as extensive experience with in vivo rodent models, primary cell culture, and co-culture assays.
