Every brand has its own unique story.I facilitated conversations and conducted brand research that revealed what stories truly make a brand distinct. Using these observations as a foundational guide, I worked with clients and the New Kind team to create brands that were visually authentic to their unique story and developed adaptable design systems to set the stage for where organizations were headed next.Holding a firm belief that anyone can share in the adventure of creating the future, I also facilitated workshops that defined and expanded company culture and helped chart growth paths.

In my early days I New Kind, I helped reform the internal web design process surrounding wireframing, mapping information architecture, and component libraries. In addition, I collaborated with brand researchers to reveal meaning, themes, and community feedback about brands to craft their identity and their digital presence. I owned design projects from start to finish—starting with research, to design explorations, to visual identity systems.

The AIGA Raleigh chapter exists to create a place where design thrives for everyone. Through the design empowerment, design impact, and uniting people initiatives I aimed to develop a better chapter that reflected our creative community. As Co-President I worked to create a board that led with passion—facilitating 100-day goals for growth and ways to increase member involvement with AIGA. By designing monthly community meetings that were free and inclusive to all, my goal was to elevate a generation of designers who are ready to lead. And to advocate for design as a core cultural competency in every business, family, organization, team, and government.

I started at Capstrat as a Junior Production Designer and was eventually promoted to Designer and Senior Designer. During my time there, I worked alongside a core team of designers to develop campaigns, website designs, and animated videos for clients in industries ranging from healthcare to education. I also volunteered for Boomerang Society which determined our community donations, selected pro bono work, and propelled Capstrat’s involvement in community projects.

At PSI I was a member of their core communications and marketing department. I helped create identities for their programs in various developing countries all over the world and helped create marketing materials locally to promote PSI's services. I also developed branding and collateral for non-profit events, including the Power of One Percent, which aimed to create awareness around international relief funds.

I worked equally on BHG's print magazine as well as the new iPad edition. I collaborated with Art Directors and Copywriters to create the look and feel of the new iPad edition and explore new possibilities in functionality. In addition, I assisted creative leads on photoshoots for the garden and food departments.
