Solicitor with legal experience in private practice and in-house in health and education sectors. Key skills: • Legal Knowledge – commercial contracts, litigation, employers’ and public liability, inquests, medical law, GDPR and equality legislation. Experience includes managing cases heard in the High Court, Coroner’s Court, County Court, and First-tier Tribunal (Special Educational Needs and Disability).• Writing and Communication – drafting legal and other formal documents, writing and presenting reports, and public speaking. • Negotiation and influence – proven negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong and influential relationships with stakeholders at all levels to facilitate change.• Leadership - collaborative leader with experience mentoring, supervising and line-managing colleagues to meet business and personal objectives.• Project Management – managing multiple work streams, funding, budgets and risks for service improvement and transformation projects in healthcare. Outside of work I enjoy active pursuits. Personal highlights include crossing the Atlantic Ocean in my own sailing boat and walking the length of the Pyrenees (Atlantic to Mediterranean coasts). I am also a former member of the Great Britain rowing team.
