I was born in London, and raised in Cape Town, South Africa from the age of 15, where I completed my Undergraduate studies in Political Science & English Literature, minoring in Philosophy. I love to read, write, discover new music from different cultures and explore the world through travel. I love all kinds of sports, and have always been an athletically inclined individual. I am deeply interested in people and the depths of the human experience, not just on the individual level, as I am a big picture thinker. But I am interested in humanity as a whole. I am a purpose-driven individual in all my endeavours. I am a passionate practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. My specific point of interest being the intersection between Jiu Jitsu and the human spirit, and mind. The positive psychological impacts it can have on an individual's personhood, and the way in which these benefits bleed into other areas of life. I have worked as an international model throughout my studies to the present day, which is seemingly unrelated to other professional activities and ambitions. But a career I was unexpectedly afforded. However, it has allowed me to hone certain skills, and afforded me many experiences, mostly through travel. Being a professional model requires you to have excellent social and communication skills, and an in-depth understanding of what vision or message the photographer and client wish to translate. As someone who enjoys the process of creative problem solving, the fashion industry has allowed me to develop this impulse. As a highly curious individual with a fascination with learning in any capacity, the set environment provided fertile soil to gather knowledge in different areas of production. The creative client’s vision, both the creative and practical aspects of photography, styling, as well as what it takes to run a production and set where respect for people's humanity is a central focus, and how such considerations lead to people's work satisfaction and, consequently, the best possible product.
