Establishing a new Residences Life Cycle team to support students out of hours within their student accommodation. Managing student communications, intake and recruitment events.

Residential Services Deputy Manager covering site based work and all student misconduct across the estate. Managing misconduct case loads, reviewing processes and linking in with central University policies.I am also responsible for the operational management of two of our halls of Residences totalling approximately 2000 bed spaces. liaising with the domestic services teams and maintenance teams to ensure the Halls are safe, clean and a welcoming home for students. Responsible for receptions and customer service and the day to day operations of site.

Overseeing the Halls of Residence misconduct with associated disciplinary actions. Ensuring the halls are a safe environment for all and acting when the regulations have been breached. Point of contact for the external Security contractor used, responsible for the training and development of the Security staff to ensure compliance with University processes. Running events to welcome the students in to their accommodation, linking in with external companies and charities to attend these events to provide students with all the information they need to begin their lives at University. Working a 12-8 shift pattern, linking the day team activities in with our evening reception and security teams ensuring all information is passed on and understood. Reacting to all situations happening out of hours in the evenings from emergency maintenance to emergency accommodation needs.

Providing wellbeing support for Students in crisis in University of Southampton accommodation. Ensuring they have access to support 24/7 for a range of needs. Running events within the halls both educational and social to ensure that all students have the opportunity to enjoy University even if they do not want the traditional University party experience. Dealing with issues out of hours, over night and the weekends, being the first point of contact for all emergencies and liaising with the emergency services where necessary.
