As a founding member of the Greenway team, I play a critical role in establishing a forward-thinking, project-based higher education program. Building on my background as a science educator, I design and teach hands-on engineering courses, mentor students towards mastery of target outcomes, and support the development of a collaborative and inclusive culture on campus. In addition, my work at the administrative level includes working closely with our founding president on institutional advancement efforts, developing strategic partnerships to support our mission, and implementing efficient operational practices. I am also committed to supporting my colleagues throughout the startup process, ensuring we collectively build a resilient foundation for Greenway’s success.

Focused on building student curiosity by connecting them with the wonders of the world around them. Key accomplishments included pivoting between remote, hybrid, and in-person education during the pandemic while maintaining a rigorous, hands-on learning environment; designing project-based science curricula that build critical thinking and collaboration skills; and building a classroom culture where students feel encouraged to explore and ask questions. I worked in collaboration with the middle school team to design interdisciplinary projects, provide wraparound support for students and their families, write and implement IEPs & 504s, support student development of fundamental math and writing skills, and participate in professional development to stay updated on effective teaching methods.

Designed and implemented an NGSS-aligned, nature- and food-based curriculum for elementary and middle school students, leveraging a 10-acre habitat, organic garden, and a LEED-Certified kitchen classroom to create immersive, hands-on learning experiences. Successfully managed a diverse team of on-call educators, university service learners, and volunteers of all ages to ensure program quality and engagement.
