Lead on the engagement of students in extra and co- curricular opportunities at NTSU. Design and implement innovative sector leading engagement opportunities, and report on impact against strategy.

Within this role I was responsible for the development and support of student groups and student group leaders, as well as enhancing student participation in student activities.

Leading & Representing one of the largest students bodies in the UK, my role as President involved leading a team of five sabbatical officers, working to create positive change for 35,000 students studying at Manchester Metropolitan University.

Key responsibilities as a member of the board are:-- To contribute effectively as a board member to the strategic direction of the organisation, setting overall policies, defining goals and targets- Safeguard the good name and values of MMUnion - Ensure the financial stability of MMUnion - Ensure the effective and efficient administration of MMUnionBeing a Trustee of MMUnion, I have had to learn to separate my responsibilities/role as student representative to that of a trustee. This has given me the opportunity to develop a variety of skills in order to work as an effective member of the board. I have learned to think critically, scrutinise business documents, communicate effectively with a willingness to speak my own mind.

- Consult students formally and informally on their academic experience and aspirations as to inform MMUnion & MMU's plans for the future.- Represent students views on their academic experiences to secure high quality academic provision in the university. -Lead campaigns on academic aspects within the university such as Students as Partners. -Input into the universities academic strategy at all levels-Oversee & promote participation of the Course Representative Structure.

To welcome and attend to customers within the unions commercial service areas in a friendly and positive manner.• To maintain excellent service standards working under the direction of the service manager or supervisor.• To undertake tasks and duties in support of the needs of the specific service area under the direction of the service manager or supervisor.• To achieve any customer service target levels as directed.• To ensure compliance with appropriate health and safety/licensing/food safety standards.• To deal with disputes and customer complaints in a constructive and positive way.
